MNCPPC Park Police Prince Georges County Division

The Maryland-National Capital Park Police, Prince George’s County Division is a law enforcement agency located in East Riverdale, Maryland. The division employs 18 sworn personnel and 29 civilian employees, along with approximately 40 volunteers. The agency is responsible for protecting approximately 27,000 acres of park property in Prince George’s County. This includes a variety of locations such as historic sites, regional parks, sports arenas, community centers, arts venues, aquatic facilities, ice skating rinks, museums, natural areas, trails, and other recreational amenities. The Park Police Division is organized into Patrol Services, Investigative Services, and Support Operations. Patrol methods include motorcycle, mountain bike, K-9, horse mounted, and T-3 units. The division emphasizes community engagement through various programs designed to foster positive interactions between police, citizens, and youth.
