MLS NEXT Pro

MLS NEXT Pro is a professional men’s soccer league based in the United States and Canada. Launched in March 2022 by Major League Soccer, the league employs 62 people and generates over $10,000 in annual revenue. MLS NEXT Pro operates as a crucial step in the player development pathway, connecting MLS NEXT talent with Major League Soccer first teams. The league features 21 clubs competing in its inaugural season, 20 of which are affiliated with MLS clubs and one independent club, Rochester New York FC. MLS NEXT Pro aims to expand the sport's reach through innovation and diversity, bringing professional soccer to new markets and creating career opportunities beyond the playing field.
