MITnano

MITnano is a research facility located in Cambridge, Massachusetts. Established in 2018, the company boasts a 200,000-square-foot space dedicated to nanoscience and nanotechnology research. MITnano employs 26 people and generates an annual revenue of $50 million. MITnano provides researchers with access to a wide range of tools and resources, including a 45,000-square-foot Class 100 clean room, advanced imaging and metrology suites, an Immersion Lab for visualization and virtual reality research, and a prototyping facility. These resources are available to MIT students, faculty, and researchers, as well as members of the MIT.nano Consortium, other academic institutions, and industry partners. The facility plays a central role in the MIT campus by sponsoring various initiatives, including START.nano, a center of excellence for sensors and sensing systems, ARTS.nano, a collaboration with the MIT Center for Art, Science, and Technology, and an entrepreneurship accelerator.
