Mission Squash

Mission Squash is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization headquartered in Houston, Texas. Founded in 2012, the organization employs four people and generates $2.5 million in annual revenue. Their mission is to empower economically disadvantaged youth in Houston through the Urban Squash program, a proven model for youth development. Urban Squash provides students with a comprehensive support system that includes tutoring, enrichment activities, mentoring, and community service opportunities. The program aims to help underserved children succeed in school, graduate, and attend college. Mission Squash stands out from other Urban Squash programs in its unique approach: they have built a squash facility within a public school, ensuring accessibility for the student population, which is 81% economically disadvantaged. This facility boasts three international squash courts, a first for any public school in North America, along with a dedicated study room and office space. The program serves 70 students through their flagship Scholarship program and an additional 150 students through the Cadets PE Squash program.
