Minneapolis Sailing Center

The Minneapolis Sailing Center is a non-profit organization located on Bde Maka Ska in Uptown Minneapolis, Minnesota. Established in 1989, the Center has grown to be one of the largest sailing schools in the United States, with over 1,000 students participating last summer. The Minneapolis Sailing Center offers sailing instruction to individuals of all ages and skill levels. The school's mission is to provide a fun and supportive environment for learning to sail while fostering a vibrant sailing community. They aim to teach the fundamentals of sailing, instill confidence and cooperation in students, and ensure a positive and enjoyable experience. Their team of instructors brings extensive racing experience and possesses CPR and First Aid certifications. The curriculum is overseen by a volunteer Board of Directors composed primarily of sailors. The Center strives to keep costs affordable and relies on charitable donations to operate.
