Michigan Journal of Economics

The Michigan Journal of Economics (MJE) is a student-run publication based in Ann Arbor, Michigan. As a part of the Michigan Department of Economics at the University of Michigan, MJE is staffed by 17 employees. MJE provides a platform for students to explore economic topics through writing. The journal welcomes a variety of submissions, including research pieces, literature reviews, and articles focused on finance, business, domestic economics, and global economics. While the journal encourages scholarly writing, it also accepts pieces that take a less formal approach. MJE was established to give students an opportunity to engage with economic research and writing outside of the traditional classroom setting. The journal actively seeks new staff writers during the fall and winter terms, but also welcomes submissions from individuals outside the university. Interested writers can submit their work to the Michigan Journal of Economics for review.
