Metro Skywarn

Metro Skywarn is a non-profit organization based in Minneapolis, Minnesota. With a staff of three, the organization focuses on severe weather spotting and Amateur Radio communications as a public service. Metro Skywarn provides training and education for severe weather spotters within the Twin Cities metropolitan area and surrounding Minnesota counties. They conduct scientific research and evaluation of severe weather spotting techniques, working to improve methods of reporting information to the National Weather Service. In addition, the organization operates and maintains Amateur Radio communication networks to facilitate the relay of weather spotting reports. The organization aims to be a valuable resource for the community, enhancing weather safety and preparedness through its dedicated volunteers and technical expertise.
