Messaging Malware Mobile AntiAbuse Working Group

The Messaging, Malware and Mobile Anti-Abuse Working Group (M3AAWG) is a non-political working body based in San Francisco, California. The organization is made up of over 200 members globally and has 47 employees. M3AAWG works to combat online threats such as botnets, malware, spam, viruses, and Denial of Service (DoS) attacks through collaborative industry efforts. The group brings together a diverse range of stakeholders including Internet Service Providers (ISPs), telecommunications companies, Email Service Providers (ESPs), social networking companies, hardware and software vendors, major brands, antivirus companies, and security vendors. M3AAWG focuses on developing and sharing best practices, position statements, training materials, and educational resources to help the online community effectively address online abuse. They also provide technical and operational guidance to governments and internet policy agencies involved in developing new internet policies and legislation.
