Medical Committee Afghanistan-Netherlands (MCAN) is a volunteer-based working group dedicated to improving healthcare in Afghanistan. Established in 2014, although their efforts began in 2010, MCAN comprises a multidisciplinary group of medical doctors and academics residing in the United States. The organization focuses on knowledge sharing initiatives to advance and strengthen health care in Afghanistan. MCAN aspires to facilitate the return of Afghan and other health professionals living in the Netherlands to contribute their expertise to Afghanistan's health sector. MCAN aims to improve access to quality healthcare services in Afghanistan by collaborating with various stakeholders, including health professionals, academics, health organizations, and financial institutions interested in supporting Afghanistan.
