Medfield.TV is a non-profit community television organization based in Medfield, Massachusetts. As a 501C3, it operates three local PEG Access cable channels through the town's two cable providers: Comcast channels 8, 12, and 22, and Verizon FIOS channels 36, 45, and 47. Originally established in 1987 as "cable 8" under the name Medfield Community Cable Access Corporation, the organization has grown to become a vital resource for the community. Medfield.TV provides residents with access to equipment and resources to create, produce, and distribute programming. Their mission is to offer a platform for community engagement, stimulating conversation and providing opportunities for residents to share their voices and stories. Funding for Medfield.TV comes from a small franchise fee on cable subscribers' bills, collected through a contract between the cable providers and the Town of Medfield.
