McHenry County States Attorneys Office

The McHenry County State’s Attorney’s Office is a governmental agency located in Woodstock, Illinois. The office employs 31 people and generates an annual revenue of $50 million. The McHenry County State’s Attorney’s Office acts as the prosecutor for individuals charged with breaking criminal statutes and traffic laws within the State of Illinois. They also provide legal counsel and representation for McHenry County Board members, elected officials, and department heads, advising them on their legal responsibilities. The office represents the County and its Elected Officials in civil litigation related to their official duties, enforces County ordinances, and prosecutes petitions in Juvenile Court on behalf of abused or neglected minors.
