Masonic Cancer Center University of Minnesota

The Masonic Cancer Center, University of Minnesota, is a comprehensive cancer center located in the Twin Cities. Designated as “Outstanding” by the National Cancer Institute, the center is recognized for its dedication to cancer research, patient care, education, and community outreach. With a team of 133 employees, the Masonic Cancer Center boasts a revenue of $500 million and collaborates with a network of academic institutions as part of the Big Ten Cancer Research Consortium. As one of only 51 National Cancer Institute-designated Comprehensive Cancer Centers in the United States, the Masonic Cancer Center focuses on discovering the causes, prevention, detection, and treatment of cancer and related diseases. Researchers, educators, and care providers work across various areas of expertise, including tobacco research, cell therapy for hematologic malignancies, biomarkers for understanding carcinogenesis, innovative methods for identifying and understanding cancer genes, childhood cancer, immunotherapy, functional genomics, cancer prevention and control, and epidemiological research. The center's research strengths are further amplified through partnerships with various University of Minnesota schools and institutes, such as the Medical School, School of Dentistry, School of Nursing, College of Pharmacy, School of Public Health, College of Veterinary Medicine, Stem Cell Institute, Center for Immunology, and the Center for Magnetic Resonance Imaging. Clinically, the Masonic Cancer Center partners with University of Minnesota Health - Cancer Care, University of Minnesota Medical Center, and University of Minnesota Masonic Children's Hospital.
