Mariposa Kids

Mariposa Kids is a non-profit organization based in San Francisco, California. Employing four people, the company generates $2.5 million in annual revenue. Established in 2012 by Conrad Moore and Amelia McDonald, Mariposa Kids is dedicated to fostering a sense of community and supporting the social-emotional growth of children. Mariposa Kids focuses on providing free play-based programming for children ages 5 to 11. Their offerings include an After-School Program, Holiday Camps, and Summer Camps, all centered around the principles of Safe Space, Free Play, and Community. These programs combine unstructured playtime with engaging planned activities both indoors and outdoors, encouraging children's social and emotional development while they explore their surroundings. Mariposa Kids operates out of the SF Rec & Park clubhouse located on the James Rolph Jr. Park & Playground in the Mission District. In addition to their core recreational programs, the organization has served over 600 Mission families through a variety of initiatives, including toddler caregiver classes, health and fitness classes, and other community services.
