Marine Industries Association of South Florida

The Marine Industries Association of South Florida (MIASF) is a not-for-profit trade organization based in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Established in 1961, MIASF is the largest marine trade organization in the Southeast United States. With a staff of four, the association focuses on the growth and sustainability of the marine industry in South Florida. MIASF represents over 400 members in Broward, Miami-Dade, and Palm Beach Counties, serving businesses involved in all aspects of the boating lifestyle, from family cruising and fishing to luxury yachts. The association's mission is to promote, protect, and grow the marine industry, which employs 142,000 people in the region and contributes $9.9 billion to Broward County's economy and $18.5 billion to the regional economy. MIASF is the owner and organizer of the renowned Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show, one of the largest boat shows in the world. Through this event, as well as advocacy efforts, programs, and services, the association raises awareness of the marine industry's impact and contributions to the community, elected officials, and regulatory bodies at local, state, and federal levels.
