Mamaroneck EMS

Mamaroneck Emergency Medical Services (MEMS) is a volunteer ambulance service based in Mamaroneck, New York. As a non-profit organization, MEMS is staffed entirely by dedicated volunteers who donate their time to provide emergency care to the residents of the Village of Mamaroneck. The organization employs 14 individuals and generates approximately $7.6 million in annual revenue. MEMS provides emergency medical services 24 hours a day, responding to over 1,400 calls for assistance each year. Each crew consists of a paramedic, Emergency Medical Technician (EMT), ambulance driver, and an attendant. The paramedics are provided by the Town of Mamaroneck Ambulance District and are highly trained, offering advanced life support (ALS) capabilities typically found in a hospital emergency room. MEMS relies on the commitment of its volunteers who dedicate a minimum of one shift per week to staffing ambulances and attend regular training sessions to enhance their skills and knowledge.
