Making It Possible to End Homelessness

Making it Possible to End Homelessness (MIPH) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to addressing homelessness in Central New Jersey. Founded in 1987, the organization is headquartered in Edison, New Jersey. MIPH is a small organization with 4 employees. MIPH operates a variety of programs aimed at providing housing and supportive services to individuals and families experiencing homelessness. These programs include transitional housing for single-parent families, transitional housing with supportive services for homeless individuals and families affected by HIV/AIDS, supportive housing for young women aging out of foster care, and a Community Housing Program focused on maintaining permanent housing for formerly homeless individuals and families impacted by HIV/AIDS. MIPH holds the distinction of being the first agency in the United States to receive federal surplus property for addressing homelessness. Additionally, the organization developed one of the earliest transitional housing programs in New Jersey.
