MakeAWish Oregon

Make-A-Wish Oregon is a non-profit organization based in Portland, Oregon. The organization employs 26 people. Make-A-Wish Oregon specializes in granting wishes to children with critical illnesses. They serve children between the ages of 2 1/2 and 18 who reside in Oregon and Clark County, Washington. In the 2023 fiscal year, they aim to fulfill 270 wishes for local children. Research conducted by TCC Group from 2010 to 2011 identified positive impacts on the health of children who have had their wishes granted. The study revealed that 89% of healthcare professionals believe a wish experience can positively influence a child's physical health, 91% of parents noted an improvement in their child's emotional health, and 81% of parents observed an increased willingness of their child to adhere to treatment plans.
