MAISA

MAISA, short for the Michigan Association of Intermediate School Administrators, is a non-profit organization based in Lansing, Michigan. With 46 employees, MAISA serves as a collective voice for superintendents and administrators representing the 56 Intermediate School Districts (ISDs) across the state. MAISA supports Intermediate School Districts in their mission to provide essential services to constituent school districts, enhancing teaching and learning opportunities for students. These services encompass a wide range of specialized programs, including special education, vocational training, interdisciplinary subjects, language programs, early childhood education, parent services, community involvement, transportation, extracurricular activities, lifelong learning, and adult education. By coordinating efforts and resources, ISDs leverage their collective strength to deliver services that would be otherwise unaffordable or impractical for individual districts.
