Maine Conservation Corps

The Maine Conservation Corps is a non-profit organization based in Augusta, Maine. Established in 1983 by the state's governor and legislature, the organization has grown to employ 10 individuals and boasts a history of successfully completing numerous natural resource projects throughout Maine. The Maine Conservation Corps fulfills its mission by providing a platform for members to engage in a wide array of projects. These include constructing and maintaining sustainable trails on state, federal, and public lands, as well as participating in community conservation and environmental service projects. Members also work alongside community partners, fostering relationships and contributing to shared goals. A cornerstone of the Maine Conservation Corps' approach is its commitment to personal and community development. Members gain valuable job skills through training, teamwork, and service learning, embodying an ethic of service to the community.
