Living Marine Resources Cooperative Science Center

The NOAA Living Marine Resources Cooperative Science Center (LMRCSC) is a cooperative science center located in Princess Anne, Maryland. It is a relatively small organization with five employees. The LMRCSC focuses on training and graduating students from underrepresented communities in the field of marine science. These students are prepared for careers in research, management, and public policy, all aiming to support the sustainable harvest and conservation of the United States' living marine resources. The LMRCSC collaborates with a network of partner institutions, including Hampton University, Delaware State University, the University of Maryland Center of Environmental Science, Oregon State University, and the University of Miami Rosenstiel School of Marine and Atmospheric Science. This partnership allows the center to conduct comprehensive research on marine and estuarine systems that align with the goals of NOAA Fisheries.
