Literacy Volunteers of Massachusetts

Literacy Volunteers of Massachusetts (LVM) is a non-profit organization based in Boston, Massachusetts. Employing 20 people, LVM boasts a history stretching back to 1972. LVM serves a wide range of clients, and focuses on individual needs. LVM provides literacy and ESOL tutoring for adults. LVM caters to adults throughout Massachusetts who struggle with low level literacy skills and are seeking academic improvement. Prior to tutoring clients, volunteers go through a two-hour session followed by intensive 18-hour training.
