LifeShare Blood Centers

LifeShare Blood Centers, founded in 1942, is a nonprofit organization headquartered in Shreveport, Louisiana. Recognized as one of only 66 AABB accredited IRL's globally, LifeShare provides rare blood components as a member of the American Rare Donor Program. Their Scientific Support Services division utilizes molecular techniques to assist in complex blood bank investigations, standing as one of six AABB accredited molecular labs worldwide. They provide consultative services utilizing specialized testing, resolving complex compatibility and serological issues, including unique tests like the monocyte-monolayer assay (MMA), performed by only four laboratories nationally.
