Ledge Light Health District

Ledge Light Health District (LLHD) is a special unit of government located in New London, Connecticut. It serves as the local health department for nine municipalities in the region: East Lyme, Groton, Ledyard, Lyme, New London, North Stonington, Old Lyme, Stonington, and Waterford. LLHD employs 47 people. LLHD provides a wide range of public health services, including restaurant inspections, smoking cessation classes, and health education programs. The organization's mission is to promote healthy communities and prevent disease, illness, and injury.
