The Laurel Volunteer Rescue Squad (LVRS) is a private, non-profit corporation based in Laurel, Maryland. Established in 1952, LVRS has grown from a small town service to a large, sophisticated organization serving over 7,000 calls annually. The squad employs approximately 200 volunteers and boasts an impressive array of equipment including a Heavy Rescue, a Rescue Engine, an Engine, a Water Rescue Team with dive unit and rescue boats, and two BLS Ambulances.
