Latino STEM Alliance

Latino STEM Alliance is a non-profit organization based in Lowell, Massachusetts. Employing a team of 5 to 9 individuals, the organization strives to address the underrepresentation of Latinos in STEM fields. Latino STEM Alliance is dedicated to inspiring and empowering under-resourced youth in the Greater Boston area to succeed in STEM careers. They achieve this through providing access to rigorous, hands-on STEM education and opportunities that would otherwise be unavailable to these students. The organization recognizes the significant growth in STEM jobs in the United States, which has increased by 79% since 1990. Despite this growth, Latinos remain significantly underrepresented in the field, comprising only 7% of STEM workers nationwide. Latino STEM Alliance works to bridge this gap by providing crucial educational support and exposure to STEM careers for underprivileged students of color.
