Latin American Youth Climate Scholarships

Latin American Youth Climate Scholarships (LAYCS) is a non-profit organization based in the United States. It is a small organization with a team of three employees. LAYCS works to increase the meaningful participation of Latin American Black, Indigenous, and People of Color (BIPOC) youth in international climate conversations. The organization achieves this through a scholarship program that fully funds selected scholars to attend several key UN Climate Conferences. These include SB58, COY18, and COP28. These conferences provide a platform for knowledge sharing, capacity building, and impactful participation in climate action. LAYCS prioritizes empowering Latin American BIPOC youth to build a resilient network and contribute meaningfully to global climate solutions. The scholarship program equips them with the knowledge and skills to advocate for change and contribute to a more sustainable future.
