Lanier Canoe and Kayak Club is a non-profit organization based in Gainesville, Georgia. Operating with a dedicated team of three employees, the club is committed to fostering a love for water sports within the community while nurturing aspiring athletes. The club offers a diverse range of programs catering to all skill levels and interests. From introductory classes for youth ages 9 to 14 to advanced training sessions for competitive paddlers, Lanier Canoe and Kayak Club provides a platform for individuals to explore and excel in canoeing, kayaking, dragon boating, and stand-up paddle boarding. The club also welcomes corporate teams and groups looking for unique team-building experiences and recreational outings. Lanier Canoe and Kayak Club stands apart by serving as the training ground for Team USA Sprint Canoe/Kayak athletes and some of the nation's most accomplished dragon boat paddlers and steersmen. The club's commitment to excellence extends beyond local competitions, with athletes pursuing National Championships, World Championships, and even the Olympic Games.
