Labor Occupational Health Program UC Berkeley

The Labor Occupational Health Program (LOHP) is a public service program located in Berkeley, California. As part of the Center for Occupational and Environmental Health (COEH) at UC Berkeley’s School of Public Health, LOHP is a non-profit organization with a staff of 20 employees. For over 40 years, LOHP has been dedicated to promoting workplace safety and health. They provide a range of services including hands-on training, technical assistance, educational materials development, participatory research, and consultation on workplace standards and policies. LOHP focuses on serving the needs of vulnerable workers, including low-wage workers, immigrant workers, youth, workers with disabilities, and communities of color. They collaborate with a wide range of partners such as unions, labor/management groups, community organizations, worker centers, small businesses, schools, academia, government agencies, and the general public.
