LAB Theatre

LAB! Theatre is a student-run theatre company based in Chapel Hill, North Carolina. Founded in 1982, it is the oldest entirely student-operated theatre organization at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. The company is supported by the Department of Dramatic Art and Student Congress and employs three people. LAB! Theatre is dedicated to producing high-quality theatrical productions for the university community free of charge. They offer students opportunities to gain experience in all aspects of theatre production, including acting, directing, lighting, sound, set design and construction, costume design, public relations, house management, stage management, and theatre administration. The company's mission is to empower artists to create and take risks while providing access to stimulating and relevant theatrical experiences for the student body. LAB!
