Kid Power Inc

Kid Power, Inc. is a nonprofit organization based in Washington, District of Columbia. Founded in March 2002 by Max Skolnik and Caroline Sholl, the organization currently employs 63 people. Kid Power Inc. focuses on inspiring youth leadership in underserved communities throughout the District of Columbia. They achieve this through a three-pronged approach: academic advancement, physical and emotional wellness, and positive civic engagement. Their programs include comprehensive, innovative approaches that engage students through hands-on instruction, mentorship, small group instruction, school-day alignment, family engagement, and differentiated instruction. This leads to academic proficiency, positive social-emotional growth, and increased civic engagement. Kid Power distinguishes itself by being the only nonprofit expanded learning program in the District of Columbia offering this unique three-pronged approach.
