JTC Academy

JTC Academy is a non-public special education therapeutic day program based in East St. Louis, Illinois. The Academy employs 9 individuals and generates $50 million in annual revenue. JTC Academy provides a specialized program for youth aged 5 to 21 who have mental and acute behavioral health challenges. The program focuses on combining academics with therapeutic programming to address students' needs. JTC Academy is approved by both Illinois and Missouri to accept students from school districts in these states. They serve students with a range of disabilities, including learning disabilities, other health impairments, intellectual disabilities, emotional disturbances, and autism spectrum disorder. The Academy operates five days a week, offering six hours of instruction, breaks, lunch, and transition time. The regular school year consists of 186 days, and they also offer a summer school program for students qualifying for extended school year services (ESY) under their individual education program (IEP).
