Johns Hopkins Center for Health Equity

Johns Hopkins Center for Health Equity is a center based in Baltimore, Maryland, with a staff of 8 employees. The Center focuses on promoting health equity and equitable healthcare for vulnerable communities. They accomplish this through research aimed at advancing scientific understanding, educating and training scholars in health equity, engaging with and partnering with community groups, raising public awareness about health disparities, and advocating for policy and clinical practice changes. The Center is led by Dr. Lisa Cooper, James F. Fries Professor of Medicine and a Johns Hopkins University Bloomberg Distinguished Professor. It draws expertise from various disciplines across Johns Hopkins University, including the School of Medicine, Bloomberg School of Public Health, and the School of Nursing.
