IntersectLA

IntersectLA (IXLA) is a student-run organization based on the California State University, Northridge (CSUN) campus in North Los Angeles. Operating as an interdisciplinary team, IXLA is comprised of 40 students. The organization was established in 2007 as VISCOM, an academic center focused on the intersection of design, culture, communication, and education. In 2018, VISCOM merged with the student marketing and strategy group RADIUS to form IntersectLA. IXLA develops strategic experiences for businesses, organizations, and communities through creative collaboration and design. The organization focuses on mentoring students who can research, strategize, collaborate, and create in multidisciplinary roles. IXLA's mission is to disrupt traditional classroom environments and departmental silos, leveraging the diverse student population to learn and work collaboratively. IntersectLA offers a high-impact student enterprise that incubates talent, builds confidence, instills a sense of purpose, and provides financial resources to support student success both during their studies and beyond.
