International Youth Media Summit

International Youth Media Summit (IYMS) is a non-profit organization based in Los Angeles, California. Founded in 2006 by Evelyn Seubert, James Gleason, and Aileen Marshall, IYMS is operated by the Teen International Media Exchange (TIME). The organization employs a team of 23 dedicated individuals. IYMS focuses on providing a platform for young people to use media as a tool for positive social change. Through workshops, training, and collaborative projects, IYMS empowers youth to express themselves creatively, develop critical thinking skills, and explore global perspectives. Their mission is to foster understanding and empathy between young people from diverse backgrounds. IYMS draws inspiration from the tragic events of September 11, 2001, which motivated a group of Los Angeles media instructors to create a space where young voices could be heard and where media could be used to promote peace and understanding.
