International College

International College (IC) is a not-for-profit, independent, and non-sectarian school located in Lebanon. With over 3,600 students across two campuses, IC is one of the largest international schools in the world. Founded in 1891 in south-west Turkey, the school has grown into an excellent institution, boasting a unique setting in the Middle East region and globally. IC offers a wide range of academic programs for students from pre-kindergarten through grade 12, including the International Baccalaureate, French Baccalaureate, Lebanese Baccalaureate, and College Preparatory Program. In addition to academics, IC offers 96 school clubs, 94 interscholastic athletics teams, and a sustainability program focused on the UN 2030 Sustainable Development Goals. The school also emphasizes STEAM education, providing students with technology and resources to prepare them for the future. With a faculty of over 380 highly qualified members, 65% of whom hold master’s degrees or higher, IC is dedicated to providing a high-quality educational experience. The school invests heavily in professional development, with over 440 days administered in 2017-18. The teaching staff is comprised of both Lebanese and international educators from countries such as the United States, Canada, France, Australia, and the United Kingdom. International College is accredited by the New England Association of Schools and Colleges (NEASC), the Council of International Schools (CIS), and authorized by the International Baccalaureate. It is also authorized by the Etablissement homologué par l’agence pour l’enseignement français à l’étranger (AEFE).
