Institute for Recruitment of Teachers

The Institute for Recruitment of Teachers (IRT) is a non-profit organization based in Andover, Massachusetts. With a team of 10 employees, IRT generates an annual revenue of $2.5 million. IRT focuses on supporting students of color and those dedicated to diversity, equity, access, and inclusion in education. They assist these students in applying to Master's and Ph.D. programs within the arts, humanities, social sciences, and education fields. The goal is to prepare them for careers within K-12 schools, higher education institutions, and related organizations. IRT distinguishes itself through its commitment to expanding access to higher education for underrepresented students and fostering a more inclusive educational landscape. They provide specialized support and guidance to help these students navigate the application process and achieve their educational aspirations.
