Impact Water is a social business based in San Francisco, California, with 81 employees. Since its founding in 2014, the company has focused on delivering safe drinking water to institutions and communities in need. Impact Water offers modern water purification systems, along with 2 years of preventive maintenance and multi-year, zero-interest credit terms. Their primary customers currently include schools and healthcare centers. Founded by Impact Carbon, a San Francisco-based NGO, Impact Water has a mission to ensure everyone has reliable access to clean drinking water. To date, they have provided over 1,300 schools in Uganda with their systems, serving over 700,000 children. The company is currently expanding its operations to include Kenya and Nigeria, aiming to install 5,000 systems by 2018 in schools across Sub-Saharan Africa.
