IHSAA

The Indiana High School Athletic Association (IHSAA) is a voluntary, not-for-profit organization based in Indianapolis, Indiana. Founded in 1903, the IHSAA is self-supporting and does not rely on tax funds. With 422 employees, the organization oversees a wide range of athletic activities for high schools across the state. The IHSAA regulates, supervises, and administers interscholastic athletic activities for its member high schools. The Association sanctions tournaments in 22 sports, including 10 for girls, 10 for boys, and two co-ed sports: unified flag football and unified track and field. Over 160,000 students participate in IHSAA-sanctioned tournaments each year. The IHSAA works closely with various agencies to ensure the health and educational well-being of secondary school students. The organization determines eligibility for contestants, coaches, and officials, and establishes standards for eligibility, competition, and sportsmanship. For more information, visit ihsaa.org.
