Hopkinsville Parks and Recreation

Hopkinsville Parks and Recreation is a department of the City of Hopkinsville, Kentucky, serving the community of approximately 32,000 residents in west Kentucky's Pennyrile region. Founded in 1965, the department has grown to maintain and operate 15 local parks spanning 118 acres. The department offers a diverse range of athletic and leisure programs and services. Amenities include the award-winning Tie Breaker Park athletic fields, featuring five baseball/softball diamonds, the Tie Breaker Park Family Aquatic Center, the Greenway Rail Trail, DeBow Soccer Complex with four varsity soccer fields, a nine-hole disc golf course, ten playgrounds, and six public pavilions. Future additions planned for 2016 include a new dog park and skate park. The department's mission is to provide recreational opportunities and enhance the quality of life for Hopkinsville residents. Hopkinsville Parks and Recreation offices are located in the Thomas Street Rec Center.
