Hennepin Healthcare Research Institute

Hennepin Healthcare Research Institute (HHRI) is a non-profit organization based in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Founded in 1952 as the Minneapolis Medical Research Foundation, HHRI has grown to be one of the largest medical research non-profits in the state, employing 181 individuals. HHRI supports and oversees the medical research conducted at Hennepin Healthcare's HCMC, a nationally recognized Level I Adult and Pediatric Trauma Center and acute care research and teaching hospital. Their researchers specialize in four key areas: Acute Care/Trauma, Addiction, Health Services, and Infectious Diseases (HIV/AIDS). This work encompasses a range of research types, including basic, translational, clinical, and epidemiologic research.
