Hearing Youth Voices

Hearing Youth Voices is a youth-led, action research group based in New London, Connecticut. The organization is comprised of four employees. Hearing Youth Voices empowers students to explore the various oppressions they encounter daily and understand the underlying causes. Through workshops and creative expression, students are encouraged to sing, rap, perform spoken word, dance, draw, and create skits. These activities foster self-expression, build positive relationships, and develop essential life skills. The group also serves as an educational platform, providing students with insights into educational politics, societal oppressions, and other crucial topics often overlooked in traditional education. Hearing Youth Voices connects students with valuable resources such as trainings, community service opportunities, and workshops, equipping them to navigate life's challenges effectively.
