Healthy Democracy Healthy People (HDHP) is a nonpartisan initiative based in the United States. The organization is comprised of three employees and generates an annual revenue of $2.5 million. HDHP's mission is to strengthen the collective capacity to advance health and racial equity by ensuring access to the ballot for all eligible voters. HDHP works to achieve this goal by increasing public understanding of the link between civic and voter participation and health outcomes. They also organize health professionals to advocate for inclusive voter policy through research, data analysis, and strategic action. Furthermore, the initiative strengthens the collective capacity of public health professionals and health and civic engagement partners to promote access to the ballot. HDHP organizes people and organizations around its mission, crafting compelling narratives through research and data analysis. They also focus on organizing policies and resources at all levels to support their goals of expanding voting rights and achieving health equity.
