Heading Home

Heading Home is a non-profit organization based in Albuquerque, New Mexico. With 47 employees, the organization works to address homelessness within the community. Heading Home provides a range of services to individuals and families experiencing homelessness, including emergency and permanent supportive housing. Their programs cater to a diverse clientele, serving families, women, men, and veterans. The organization operates two shelters, the Albuquerque Opportunity Center and the Westside Emergency Housing Center, along with a medical respite program offering 24-hour care to recently hospitalized individuals without homes. Their signature Housing First program, Albuquerque Heading Home, has successfully housed hundreds of chronically homeless individuals since 2011.
