HASTAC

HASTAC, an interdisciplinary network, is based in Tempe, Arizona and employs 12 people. Founded in 2002, HASTAC (Humanities, Arts, Science, and Technology Alliance and Collaboratory) unites individuals and institutions dedicated to transforming education and learning through technology. HASTAC provides a platform for sharing news, tools, research, pedagogical approaches, and projects related to digital humanities and other digital scholarship. With over 16,000 members from more than 400 affiliate organizations, their community collaborates on various initiatives. HASTAC is recognized as the world's first academic social network, boasting annual pageviews regularly surpassing half a million. The organization's central administration is split between hubs at Arizona State University and the Graduate Center at the City University of New York.
