Hanover County Public Schools (HCPS) is a public school district located in Ashland, Virginia. The district employs 1,487 individuals and serves approximately 17,000 students in Pre-K–12. HCPS is comprised of 26 schools, including 15 elementary, four middle, and four high schools, as well as a trade and technology school, a K–12 online school, and an alternative education school. HCPS offers a comprehensive education to students in grades Pre-K through 12. Ten of HCPS's schools have been recognized with Blue Ribbon School of Excellence awards.
