Greyston Foundation

Greyston Foundation is a hybrid social enterprise based in Yonkers, New York. It operates as a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization with a commercial bakery and employs approximately 75 people. Greyston Foundation's primary focus is on providing inclusive employment opportunities through its Open Hiring® system. This system eliminates traditional barriers to employment, such as criminal records or lack of education, by offering jobs to anyone who applies. The Greyston Bakery produces brownies for ice cream inclusions and corporate gifting, generating revenue of $7 million annually. Greyston's commitment to inclusive employment extends beyond the bakery. Through the Greyston Employment Opportunity Center (GEOC), the foundation offers transitional employment programs, workforce education and training, and social services.
