Greenwood Rising

Greenwood Rising Black Wall St. History Center is a small, non-profit organization located in Tulsa, Oklahoma. The organization employs four people and is dedicated to preserving and sharing the history of Tulsa's historic African American Greenwood area. Through immersive exhibition experiences, Greenwood Rising tells the story of Black Wall Street, a thriving economic center in the early 20th century. The center aims to educate visitors about the rich cultural heritage and resilience of the Greenwood community while also acknowledging the devastating Tulsa Race Massacre of 1921.
