Gourmet Night

Gourmet Night is a student-run organization based in Houston, Texas. Operating as a unique dining experience, Gourmet Night is staffed by 5 to 9 employees. Each year, Gourmet Night hosts a large-scale fundraising event featuring a gourmet dinner for 360 guests. Comprised of a cocktail reception, silent auction, multi-course dinner with wine pairings, and live entertainment, the event requires the meticulous planning and execution of a dedicated team of 300 student volunteers. Students are responsible for every aspect of the evening, from theme selection and budget management to menu creation and logistical coordination. The coveted spots on the student management team are earned through a competitive interview process with the Gourmet Night Executive Committee. Selected students participate in specialized courses in Gourmet Night Management, guided by Reba Haskell, the event's executive director. Proceeds from ticket sales and the silent auction directly support educational programs and scholarships within Hilton College.
