Global Down Syndrome Foundation

The Global Down Syndrome Foundation is a public 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization based in Denver, Colorado. Founded in 2009, the organization employs 27 people and generates over $10,000 in annual revenue. Global Down Syndrome Foundation is dedicated to improving the lives of people with Down syndrome through a variety of programs and initiatives. These include supporting the Linda Crnic Institute for Down Syndrome, the first academic institution in the United States focused on research and medical care for individuals with Down syndrome, and the Anna and John J. Sie Center for Down Syndrome at Children's Hospital Colorado, a multidisciplinary team dedicated to providing medical care for pediatric and adolescent patients with Down syndrome. The foundation also organizes fundraising events such as the Be Beautiful Be Yourself Fashion Show and the Be Beautiful Be Yourself DC Gala. In addition to supporting existing institutions, the foundation actively funds numerous programs and conferences aimed at enhancing the lives of people with Down syndrome. These include the Dare to Play Football and Cheer Camps, the Global Down Syndrome Educational Series, and the Be Beautiful Be Yourself Dance Program.
