Girls on the Run of Central Iowa

Girls on the Run of Central Iowa is a non-profit organization based in West Des Moines, Iowa. With a team of three employees, the organization generates approximately $2.5 million in annual revenue. Girls on the Run of Central Iowa is an affiliate program of the YMCA of Greater Des Moines and part of Girls on the Run International, a network of over 200 councils serving girls across the United States. The organization provides a transformative physical activity-based youth development program for girls in grades 3 through 8. Through dynamic, interactive lessons and running games, they teach life skills that empower girls to build confidence and develop a lifelong appreciation for health and fitness.
